AI betting predictions: what is free, who shows losses, what it costs

How we test AI prediction tools

Each tool on this page was tested on a free account, without a card and without paying for Pro. We used the free picks or reports, checked the prices against the terms, and looked for a public page where past picks are marked won or lost. Every review on this page carries the "Free tier tested" label for that reason.

Where a tool publishes its own data, we checked the data. For NerdyTips we settled 170,689 of its own tips from the file it gives away. For BetMines we compared the site's probability with the site's odds on 13 top tips. For SportBot AI and OddAlerts we read the public record and separated the profitable part from the rest.

This page does not compare the tools by advertised accuracy. It compares four things you can check yourself; each full review also scores what only that tool does.

• Public record. Does the tool show every past pick with the result, losses included?

• Free access. How much of the product works without a card, and for how long?

• Price. What the cheapest paid plan costs, and whether you can get a refund.

• Coverage. Which sports and leagues, and whether the data behind small leagues is real.

Numbers marked as our check come from our own count. Every other accuracy or ROI figure comes from the service itself. Prices change; check the official page before you pay.

AI sports prediction tools compared

The table is sorted by the public record, from the most open to the tools that publish nothing. New reviews go into the table in that order, not by rating. The rating is the score from each full review.

Rithmm has no public record and still scores high. The rating is for the model builder, not for the company's picks.

Which AI prediction tools show a public record

Most tools on this page keep some public list of past picks with results. They are not equal.

SportBot AI shows every settled pick with the odds, the edge and the result, and it also tracks closing line value. Its own number is negative: the market moved against its picks more often than with them. The whole record is a small profit of about 3%, and almost all of it comes from the soccer totals model. The soccer winner model loses heavily.

NerdyTips gives away the biggest file in the category: every tip since 2024, with odds. That file is where our numbers come from. Two tips in three win, and a flat stake on all of them still loses about 4 cents per dollar. Not one full month in the file ended in profit.

ScoreGPT grades every pick from its five named AI models on a public leaderboard, losses included. The record covers one competition, while the app sells many leagues. The consensus pick scored below every single model when we checked.

OddAlerts has a public record too, but it is not for the AI football predictions you see for free. The +3% belongs to Alpha, a separate paid feed of system picks. The AI probabilities page has no results page at all. Many other reviews mix these two up.

BetMines has no archive for its top tips, only a "yesterday" page. What it does publish is the record of every scanner filter: picks, hit rate, mean odds and ROI. Of the filters BetMines itself recommends, only one had an ROI above 5% when we checked, and none above 10%.

FootballPredictAI and Rithmm: no record, so the proving is yours

FootballPredictAI shows one number everywhere: a rolling 7-day accuracy that the marketing quotes at 87% and the homepage showed at 82% during our test. A rolling window only describes the last week. There is no archive of past predictions, so the number cannot be checked. The output format is the clearest in the category, and the day passes from $1.99 do not renew, so testing is cheap. You have to log every prediction against closing odds yourself.

Rithmm sells picks too, but they are the smaller part. Its main product is sports prediction software for building your own model without code, with a backtest on real past odds. That is the only tool of its kind on this page, and the reason for its rating. The catch is the same: no public record for the company's own picks, and the 7-day trial starts only after you add a card. Without a card, the model numbers stay locked.

Four kinds of model behind the word "AI"

The word "AI" on these sites covers four different things.

A probability model works from past results and updates its numbers when new data comes in. OddAlerts calls its engine Bayesian; BetMines describes a mix of statistical models and shows expected goals next to its probabilities. These give a percentage for every match and are the oldest method in football prediction.

A neural network is trained on a large set of past matches to find patterns. NerdyTips says its NT Apex model works this way. The output looks the same, a tip and a confidence score, and the file shows it fits the bookmaker's prices very closely, which is why it does not beat them.

A language model reads news, form and injuries and reasons in text. ScoreGPT runs five of them on each match, and OddAlerts' Copilot reports read like the work of one, written on top of the statistics. Language models are good at context and bad at numbers, so treat their text as a preview, not as a price.

A model builder lets you choose the factors and weights yourself. Rithmm is the only one on this page. The result is only as good as your idea, and the backtest is there to kill bad ideas cheaply.

SportBot AI mixes two of these: its bet check uses no model at all, only the average of 49 bookmakers, while its picks come from a statistical model per sport. The bet check is the reliable half.

Free AI football predictions: what you get without a card

The free tiers differ a lot, and this is where a beginner should start.

• OddAlerts: three percentages for every football match of the day, both teams to score, over/under 2.5, one edge line, three AI reports a day, the Value Bets feed. No card. The widest free view of a model on this page.

• BetMines: probabilities for every match on the main markets, match pages with xG and shots, Advanced Filters, one live and one pre-match scanner with five alerts a day. No time limit.

• SportBot AI: one bet check and one full match analysis a day, forever. The bet check compares your odds with 49 bookmakers and says if you are overpaying. The stake size and the best price are paid.

• NerdyTips: seven tips a day with confidence scores, the match and team pages, and the full results file.

• ScoreGPT: three picks a week and the whole leaderboard, no account needed. It works before you sign up.

• FootballPredictAI: one free day that expires the same day, selected leagues only.

• Rithmm: the interface and the odds. Every model number is locked until you add a card.

A free plan is enough to test one thing: does the tool say "no bet" when the numbers say so? OddAlerts and SportBot AI both do. BetMines and NerdyTips work like an AI tipster and give you a tip for every match, and their own numbers show the loss.

Which AI prediction tool for which bettor

Prices from $1.99 to $29.99, and who gives refunds

The cheapest way to test a paid tier is a pass, not a subscription. FootballPredictAI sells day passes from $1.99 with no renewal. OddAlerts sells a 24-hour Pro pass for about $4 and a 48-hour Advanced pass for about $14.

Monthly plans run from $7.99 (ScoreGPT, paid through the app stores) to $29.99 (Rithmm). NerdyTips shows $18.99 to visitors and $8.99 after sign-up, so create the account first. BetMines charges €15.99 for the first month and €19.99 after that; the discount applies once. SportBot AI Pro is $18.99, and its $299 lifetime plan equals about sixteen months of Pro.

Refunds are rare. OddAlerts gives a full refund within 10 days of any payment, but not on the passes. NerdyTips has a 3-day money-back on monthly and multi-month plans. BetMines and SportBot AI give no refunds at all. FootballPredictAI passes end by themselves. Rithmm's review found no refund rule, so cancel the trial before day seven; a forgotten trial becomes a paid month.

Prices are quoted in USD where the service charges USD. OddAlerts charges in British pounds and BetMines in euro; the dollar figures are approximate.

Why the accuracy number is not the profit number

Nearly every AI sports betting prediction service advertises an accuracy figure. Three things hide inside it.

Accuracy depends on the market. In the NerdyTips file, tips priced up to 1.30 win 76% of the time and still lose 4.1%. When a service mixes safe markets into one headline number, the number stops meaning anything.

Accuracy is not profit. NerdyTips is the clearest example on this page: 66.9% of its tips win, and the account still loses 4.2% at flat stakes, because the average odds are 1.46 and 1.46 needs 68.5% just to break even. A model can be right two times in three and lose money. Our odds converter shows the break-even rate for any price.

Self-reported means unverified. No service on this page has an outside audit. The best substitute is a full public pick list with odds and results, and even that has to be read with care: SportBot AI's record is real and it still shows negative closing line value.

Ignore the advertised number, find the pick history, and compare the AI picks with closing odds for a few weeks before any money is involved.

AI betting tools we have not reviewed

Dimers, BetQL and Leans.ai are built for the US market: American bookmakers, American odds, NFL and NBA first. Readers in Europe, Africa and Asia cannot use most of what they offer, so they are not in this comparison. Forebet is a statistics site rather than an AI prediction tool and belongs in our stats and analytics section.

Using AI sports predictions without losing discipline

The model is one input. The others are the odds at your own bookmaker, your own knowledge of the sport and a fixed stake. The usual mistake is to raise the stake after one good week from the model.

Two habits help. Record the closing odds for every pick a tool gives you; a tool whose picks beat the close over months has something real. Keep the stake fixed, however sure the model sounds. A bet tracker makes both habits easy.

Sports betting carries risk, and no prediction tool changes that. Never bet money you cannot afford to lose. If betting stops feeling like entertainment, contact your local responsible gambling organisation.
